Penguin Found 2,000 Miles From Arctic Home Sues Tourist Who Found It

An Emperor penguin found on a popular tourist beach in Australia has filed a lawsuit against the tourist who turned it in. Authorities were called to the beach after someone spotted what they called a malnourished-looking penguin wandering aimlessly around the Aussie shores. It’s unclear how this penguin made it more than 2,000 miles from its icy home in Antarctica.

After being treated at a local hospital, the penguin informed the tourist through its lawyer that it would be filing a multi-million dollar lawsuit against them. The cause? Defamation and invasion of privacy.

Since filing the lawsuit, it has become clear that this penguin did not simply get caught in a cold riptide and whisked thousands of miles to warmer weather. In fact, it was by choice. Under intense scrutiny from the public, the penguin revealed that making this journey was voluntary in efforts to start a new life. Did we add the penguin had a family? Well, it decided it had enough of them and simply left with no warning.

The penguin claims the tourist invaded their privacy by alerting authorities. In fairness, what the f*ck is the tourist supposed to do? The defamation claims came later after repeated harassment from the public who insist that the penguin is just that—a f*cking penguin.
